Did you know that you may qualify for a lace wig through your medical insurance provider?
Envision Lace Wigs, LLC provides full cranial prosthesis for women experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions such as Alopecia, Lupus, MS, Arthritis, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes or the effects of chemotherapy.
When you lose your hair due to medical conditions, the following information has been compiled to aid you in filing a claim with your insurance provider for a cranial prosthesis:
1. Benefit booklet: Review your benefit booklet given to you by your insurance carrier and look for the section under “covered expenses” relating to “prosthesis” or “prosthetic devices.” You can also contact your insurance provider and ask if you are covered for a cranial prosthesis.
2. Request a written prescription for a full cranial prosthesis on an actual prescription form from your doctor. Also, request a detailed letter from your doctor explaining the extent of your hair loss. Make sure that your doctor use the words “cranial prosthesis” as it is considered a medically necessary item.
3. Take pictures of yourself that shows hair loss or thinning.
4. Write a letter to your insurance provider detailing the emotional affects that your medical condition has had on your life. Discuss the financial aspects of frequent wig purchases. Advise that a cranial prosthesis is just as medically necessary as a prosthetic breast or limb, it replaces a missing body part…your hair.
Once you establish items 1 through 4, please contact us at email@example.com for further instructions.
